The week before Christmas, biggest Snowfall

For December here at the Mansion of the Cookenstein, todays snowfall may rank up as one of the biggest of recorded history. Or at least in the top 10. By early 8 am this morning we already had more than a foot with at least another 14 inches or more to come.  I love this time of year, and not because of it's holiday, but for exactly this type of weather. This is the gift. Oh yeah, I'll be singing the blues when I have to shovel the driveway tomorrow, but for now, it just looks perfect.

I shot a couple of photos with the Nikon D-80 today, and one of my growing favorite lenses in the arsenal is this sigma 18-200mm lens.
